Hire the old school way.
Old School Hire is an online platform for young individuals to find jobs in their neighborhood. Our only purpose is to connect someone who needs work done with someone who wants to do work. We're also free.
Our Story
Hello and welcome to Old School Hire! My name is Tres Jass and I am passionate about making a positive impact in our community. At just 17 years of age, I was driven by a shared commitment to helping my neighbors in San Antonio, Texas thrive and receive the help they need. Now, as a student at the University of Houston, my dedication in this mission continues to grow. Our journey began with a simple idea: making a difficult job search easier for everyone.
Throughout my life, I’ve taken on various roles and tasks, gaining valuable experiences along the way. I understand the challenges that come with seeking opportunities, especially when you’re just starting out, but also the growth that comes with trying new things and putting your skills to use. Growing up in the heart of San Antonio, I’ve witnessed the incredible spirit of our community—the willingness to lend a hand, share expertise, and support one another. That’s why I decided to create Old School Hire, a platform that connects local individuals seeking meaningful job opportunities right here in our community.
Our mission is to bridge the gap between our community, making it simple and efficient to find and offer services that contribute to the well-being of San Antonio and Houston and everywhere in between. Our platform isn’t just about jobs—it’s about fostering a sense of responsibility, engagement, and collaboration among neighbors and our community, by giving individuals opportunities to apply their skills locally. Please join us on this journey to redefine how community members connect, contribute, and thrive. Together, we can build a stronger, more united community, one task and opportunity at a time. Thank you for joining our community and contributing to our vision for a brighter future.
